Underneath

The awesome root system under the ground that is connected and intertwined inspired for this work. It holds all the power of all that grows above the ground, all the beauty and splendour is rooted there. What we see on the surface is only part of this richness. A metaphor for people, there is so much more inside than meets the eye. So much stays hidden, so much beauty and power within. What is shown to the outside and what stays underneath our skin? The interconnectedness is underneath, what we do above the ground influences the soil and all that roots from there. In this work I show what is underneath, in the underworld, the base of all above.
