The library in Alphen a/d Rijn was created by Common Affairs architects and Mars Interieur (interior) They have made this plateau with a narrow staircase on the first floor of the library. This formed the base for the design of the nest. Inspiration came from master nest builders in nature (birds!). A plan needed to be designed to form an iron wire framework, that is the strong skeleton that is the base to build, weave and braid on. An exploration of how big one can go with textile waste!
